Searching for a therapist/counselor can be a daunting, anxiety-provoking task, and finding one with whom you feel comfortable can be a tricky proposition. Most psychotherapists can be a help to someone, but I believe that finding a good fit can mean the difference between good, lasting work and just another wayside stop. It is not unusual for people to underestimate the value and importance of having the opportunity to develop a relationship founded upon safety and trust, one which can become the basis for talking over difficult issues around disappointments, traumas, personalities and relationships.
